Moontong is the language spoken by the Sun Elves and the Moon Elves.

Often, when showing respect to a mother or father, or elder (such as grandparents) there is -ka ended at the end for female, and -ga added for a male. Step parents are very rare, and when there, are refered to as mother or father, depending on sex.When a child is first learning his or her letters, they are taught the extended alphabet if wealthy, and the not extended for the less wealthy.
The childs first words in MoonTong generally are the prayers that are given at every service.
Ithil os si jhondraer tyl,
jhael os kalaer sai tia jhori eil thastolia.
Jhaer os vaedi jholi jhyl eil
mesi eil jhaer os jhol baelaes
thalaes eir air tyloler sai jhaer iar sai vyraes.
When translated into Westron, or common tongue, the words have little of the desired affect, and the prayer can come out unrythmic and disconnected.
The prayer translated is as follows:
Ithil of the lightest moon,
lend your graces to my life and family.
Let our people live long and sure and l
et your light never falter as it continues
to lead us to prosper.
