Elenwe put her hand on a tree, pushing against it to climb over the mound. Suddenly she felt a tingle run across the back of her hand. "Hmn?" She brought in front of her. There a tiny brown spider crawled upon her. Elenwe's eyes bugged out and she shouted as she shook her hand, trying to be rid of it. She held her hand up again, thankfully, it was gone. As she stared at her vacant hand, she noticed something moving, out of focus, in front of her. Lowering her hand she adjusted her eyesight. Then her gaze met that of six paleish, yellow eyes the size of golf balls. Elenwe stood in shock, "A spy--!! A spee--!! An ana-na aracneed!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Inside the walls of Mirkood near the gate Legolas, Luna, Kerowyn and Iodhil walked. "So, Luna..." said Iodhil, "How long has it been since you came to Mirkwood? ...Ten years?" Luna nodded.

"Something like that." Suddenly an ear piercing scream, loud and horrid, came from the forest like a siren. They all turned to the gate, which was about fifty feet behind them. "What in the hell was that?" The guards readied their weapons, expecting a bunch of idiotic orcs to charge out and be slaughtered. Within a few seconds they saw something in the distance kicking up great amounts of dirt as it ran rapidly towards the gate. The archers aimed.

"Wait!" shouted Iodhil, peering into the forest, "I think that's.... Is it?"

"Elenwe!" yelled Legolas. Elenwe was now in ear shot and they could hear what it was she was shouting: "Spider! Spider! Spider! Spider! Spider! Spider! REALLY BIG SPIDER!!!!!!"

"Spider?" said Luna. Half irritated, half worried. Elenwe dashed through the gates and the huge creepy crawly was right on her tail somehow. It trailed her where ever she ran, around and around the open spaces within the walls. Everyone merly stared in shock and confusion at the bizarre sight.

"WILL SOMEONE KILL THIS VALAR DAMNED THING?????!!!!!" Elenwe screamed. Luna drew forth four daggers and shot them all into the spider's back. It continued to chase Elenwe, but also began to attack everyone present, spitting and reaching out with it's legs.

"Escho yes firn!*" Iodhil shouted to the archers. With that they took aim and fired upon it until it finally fell dead. Elenwe was far from the carcuss, slumped over, holding her knees and gasping like an old man with deadly asthma. Her friends ran to her. (*Make it dead!)

"Elenwe! Are you alright?" asked Kerowyn as they approached. They imidiatly saw that she was not. Her skin was a ghastly white and her pupils were the size of pins, while she mumbled. Luna kneeled by her.

"Spi...spi..der..spi...big bug..."

"Technically a spider is an aracnid..." said Iodhil. Kerowyn elbowed him in the gut. Luna stared at her friend, no wonder she in such a state, in her mind a spider equaled a bug.

"Elenwe... are you gonna be okay?" she asked. Elenwe mumbled inbetween her breathes.

"Maybe in a few hours...." Then she fell to her knees and Luna caught her.

"She's unconscious.... or asleep... I cannot tell."

"Poor Elenwe... she's propably tromitiesed.... being chased by a enormous bug." said Kerowyn.

"Aracnid." said Iodhil. Legolas backhanded his brother in the stomach and took Elenwe from Luna so she could stand.

"I suppose we should just let her sleep it off....I mean, there is nothing else we can do, right?" he said. They carried her off to the guest room her, Luna and Kerowyn were sharing and continued to the library. There they met Thranduil along with Dring and Lindir. Thranduil was atop a ladder looking through the shelves as they entered, but disended as they approached.

"Ah, there you all are." He took another look at the group. "Or most of you--Where is Elenwe?"

"She had a run in with a spider." said Kerowyn. Lindir's eyes widened.

"Oh... that could not have gone well...." Luna glared at him.

"Lindir... she came face to face with a bug the size of a house, in her words: ...OF COURSE IT DIDN'T GO WELL!!!!"

"Acarnid!!!!" shouted Iodhil in frustration. Luna backhanded his chest.

"Whatever."
