Chapter One: A Meeting of Polar Opposites

 

~~~~~~~~A park in modern times~~~~~~~~~~

 

*A girl is in a park closeing her duffle bag after finishing soccer practice. She begins walking down the street*

 

Suishoku: Well that was a good workout. *she is now down a couple of blocks & notices a shrine to her left, across the road & stops* Hmmn. I haven't paid my respects in a while, maybe I should.

 

*She runs arcoss the street to the shrine. She enters and setts down her bag.*

 

Suishoku: Hmmmn. This brings back a lot of memories. Aahh.

 

*She begins to walk towards the alter when her foot falls through the wooden floor & is stuck.*

 

Suishoku: This is what I get for not visiting in a while. *trys to pull her leg free but can't* Errrrrr. This place is a mess I should fix it later.

 

*She punches the solid floor next to the hole in an attempt to set herself free. The floor around the hole crumbles and falls, causeing her & her bag to fall completely through the floor and straight into a portal in the ground.*

 

Suishoku: Huh?! Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

 

~~~~~~~~~~~~ A village in fuedal times~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

*A village has been having some trouble with a demon attacking people on a road. The villagers have summoned for a demon slayer, Luna, to solve the problem. Luna traveled to the village to slay the demon with her demonic feline companion, Kiden*

 

Villager: The demon has been attacking people left and right! You must help us!

 

Luna: Of course. Which road is it on?

 

Villager: That one over there.*points*

 

Luna: Alright. Let's go Kiden.

 

Kiden: Mew.

 

*Walks to path*

 

*On the path a half-wolf-demon in "present" clothes is traveling to the village, minding her own bisness*

 

*Luna comes up the path and sees Suishoku walking and thinks that she is the demon.*

 

Luna: Hey demon, bet you wanna snack about now!

 

Suishoku:*blank look* Huh?*blink blink, sees Luna*

 

Luna: Well, for a demon who devours people, you sure look like you haven't had a meal in weeks!

 

Suishoku: What the hell are you talking about? *raises one eyebrow*

 

Luna: Oh, its the "I am innocent" act, well cut the crap, because it ain't working.

 

Suishoku: Do you have a grudge against me, cause I've sure as hell never seen you before.*getting aggitated*

 

Luna: Well obviosly, you'd be dead if you had seen me before.

 

*Luna shoots an arrow, Suishoku dodges it with ease.*

 

Suishoku: I'm gonna give you one more chance to walk away, or I am going to make you, cause like I said before, I sure as hell don't know what your talking about, and I don't want to hurt you!

 

Luna: A demon, who has hurt other people, doesn't want to hurt me, how noble of you, what did you do, look deep inside my heart to see a will to live, I bet everyone of your victoms had the same desire.

 

Suishoku: *stress mark* 'Damn thats annoying!' What victims?! What the hell are you talking about?!

 

Luna: Does it matter, why don't I just kill you now so I can continue with my life.

 

Suishoku: Your starting to piss me off, so why don't we do some hand to hand. So I can teach you a lesson!!

 

Luna: Fine by me

 

*Start hand to hand when a noise from the forest distracts them both.*

 

Luna: What the.....

 

Suishoku: I think I smell the scent of the real culprit your after.

 

Luna: Ahhh, fine, but judging by the sound of his footsteps, I am gonna need help. *to herself*

 

Suishoku: I'll help you, but you better not turn me into an enemy after I do.

 

Luna: ...Fine.

 

*A chicken demon amerges from the trees nearby*

 

*Luna and Suishoku stare at the demon*

 

Suishoku: That was the demon you were here to kill?

 

Luna: That thing was what killed and scared the villagers?

 

*Sweat drops appear on their heads*

 

Suishoku: I don't think you'll need my help anymore.

 

Luna: ...Me either.

 

Demon: My next meal looks delisous!!

 

Suishoku: What next meal?

 

Luna: I'm not gonna let you eat anymore people you..you..oh screw it...chicken.

 

*Demon goes to pec Luna and she dodges him*

 

Suishoku: Well his "attacks" suit him. *motions fingers in " "*

 

Luna: What do you mean "attacks"?

 

Suishoku: *raises eyebrow* You don't actually take him and his attacks seriously do you?

 

Luna: Um...well... you could say that.

 

Suishoku: You're still a novice at this aren't you?

 

Luna: What was the 1st clue?

 

Suishoku: *sweatdrop* Uh...1st clue?

 

*Demon turns to Luna to pec at her, she draws some arrows and fires at him*

 

*The demon is struck and falls, dies*

 

Luna: Who's the novice now?

 

Suishoku: Still you. A real demon slayer wouldn't have needed to use an arrow.

 

Luna: What do you mean real?!

 

Suishoku: I mean one who finished training before trying to slay a demon.

 

Luna: Hey! I did train! And he's dead isn't he?

 

Suishoku: Yeah, yeah. I can see you've trained, but you could really stand to train more.

 

Luna: Mmn! Well my name's Luna. ...Sorry ...about trying to slay you.

 

Suishoku: I was waiting for that, but no problem... I'm Suishoku.

 

~~~~~~~~5 minutes later, sitting on the grass near the path.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

Luna: So what are you doing here anyway? And whats with the weird clothes?

 

Suishoku: Well, you see, ...I'm from the future, ...and I accidently fell through a time rift to this era. When I first fell through, a very powerful demon named Kuma, took me prisoner ...and using lots of spells and potions turned me into a half-demon.

 

Luna: You mean you were human before?!

 

Suishoku: Yeah I was, but not anymore. So I'm searching for him so I can take my revenge, to do something like that to a human, you can tell, this demon is very powerful. He's been around for over twenty years. ...What about you? Why are you here?

 

Luna: I have been searching for a demon for a very long time. I trained to be a demon slayer ever since I was young, but my training was cut short at my old village, so there are big holes in it. As for being a novice, now you know why...say, do you mind if we travel together?

 

Suishoku: Well...I don't have anyone better to travel with, why the hell not?

 

Luna: Okay, but... your a half-demon, wouldn't you hate humans?

 

Suishoku: Well, no, think about it, I was a human before, and don't get me wrong, I am proud and happy to be a half-demon but I don't believe in killing helpless, innocent humans.

 

Luna: Okay, but you should know, I am in constant contact with another demon, named Natalya. She and I have been friends since I was very young. She would be a help to us as well.

 

Suishoku: How have you been in constant contact with another demon?

 

Luna: We established a bond that allows us to talk through each others minds.

 

Suishoku: You mean telekinesis?

 

Luna: You could say that.

 

Suishoku: Well, shall we get going, what direction should we go in?

 

Kiden: Mew.

 

Luna: I would say west, lets go get Natalya. She and her lover, a dog demon live in the westward mountain together.

 

Suishoku: What kind of demon is she?

 

Luna: ...A cat demon...

 

Suishoku: *Laughing hysterically* A cat demon, and a dog demon?

 

Luna: *Laughing herself* I know, but no one said she had common sense.

Chapter Two: Common Friend, Common Foe

 

Luna, Kiden, and Suishoku are walking on the road to the westward mountain to get Natalya.

 

Suishoku: So this Natalya, she'll really just pack up and go with us on this probably long journey?

When she has no relation to Kuma what so ever.

 

Luna: I can convice her.

 

Suishoku: You guys must know each other pretty well.

 

Luna: Yup, I met her when I was little, she gave me Kiden.

 

Kiden: Mew.

 

Luna: Even though we stayed in touch through a psychic link, I haven't seen her since I was 6.

 

Suishoku: Are you gonna be able to tell what she looks like, I mean you can't tell apart scents like I can.

 

Luna: *A little over confident* I know what I'm doing.

 

Suishoku: Uh okay. 'Why do I get the feeling she has no idea what she's doing?'

 

Luna: Anyway, Kiden will reconize her scent.

 

Suishoku: That makes me feel better.

 

Luna: What?

 

Suishoku: Uh nothing. Hey, look, who is that coming up the path from the mountain?

 

*They look to see a figure of a girl walking toward them on the path*

 

Kiden: Mew

 

*Kiden jumps off Luna's shoulder and runs toward the figure*

 

Luna: Kiden! Wait! Kiden!

 

Suishoku: Come on.

 

*They run after Kiden*

 

• They come upon a cat-demon holding Kiden.*

 

Luna: Kiden?

 

Natalya: Luna? Is that you? It is I'd reconize your scent anywhere!

 

*Natalya hugs Luna as Kiden jumps to Suishoku's shoulder.*

 

Luna: Who the hell are you?! And why the hell are you hugging me??!!

 

Suishoku: *raises eye brow* Uhhh...

 

Natalya: Luna it's me!

 

Luna: ...

 

Natalya: Natalya!

 

Luna: Natalya?... *stares at her* Natalya!

 

Natalya: Luna!

 

Suishoku: *points to herself* Suishoku. Now can we stop with the name thing??!!!!

 

Natalya: What are you doing here? And with somebody?

 

Luna: Oh yeah! Natalya, this is Sushoku. Suishoku, this is Natalya.

 

Suishoku: Natalya. Yeah. I got it the first freaking 12 times you 2 said it!

 

Luna: Well, sorry, I can't help it if I don't remember exactly, anyways, she has aged quite a bit in 11 years. Does that explain it?

 

Suishoku: Nice to meet you Natalya

 

Natalya: Nice to meet you, are you a wolf demon?

 

Suishoku: I am a half wolf demon

 

Natalya: And whats with the wierd ass clothes?

 

Suishoku: Grrr! *under her breath* Wierd ass??!!

 

Luna: *Interupting* Lets not get into that now.

 

Suishoku: I will tell you about that later, 'I really do need to get different clothes.'

 

Luna: Hey Natalya, do you want to hunt demon with us?

 

Natalya: Whats in it for me?

 

Luna: That chance to hunt a demon should be enough.

 

Natalya: But Sessy....

 

Luna: He would understand.

 

Natalya: But we are going to go out tonight.

 

Luna: Correction, you were going to go out tonite, your not anymore.

 

Natalya *Pouting* fine, be that way, but if we don't find this demon, it ain't my fault.

 

Suishoku: You do understand that this isn't any short day trip.

 

Luna: Thanks Suishoku, thats really going to convince her to come

 

Suishoku: *shrugs* I am just tellin her.

 

Luna: Excuse us, we need to go have a talk, Natalya and I.

 

Suishoku: Fine by me, I gonna try to find some clothes

 

*Suishoku walks off, Natalya and Luna start arguing.*

 

*Luna talks to Suishoku through telekinesis 5 min later*

 

Luna: 'Where are you, hopefully not to far away'

 

Suishoku: AHHHH!!!!!!

 

Luna: 'OWWW! Did you have to yell so loud, I ain't deaf!'

 

Suishoku: 'How the hell can you do that?!!'

 

Luna: 'Do what?'

 

Suishoku: 'Talk in my head, dammit!'

 

Luna: 'OH, umm, I dunno, same way I do to everyone else.'

 

Suishoku: 'Well I'm in the middle of getting some new clothes, so you can hold on!*'

 

Luna: 'What do you mean?'

 

Suishoku: 'Short version: I'm fighting with a fellow wolf-demon to prove that I'm really part wolf-demon, long story. If I beat him I get some new clothes, so stop talking to me. I'll be back soon, it won't take long to beat this guy he's totally weak, it's fun to toy with them.'

 

Luna: 'Okay.' ...Come to think of it I've never seen her actually fight.

 

Natalya: Oh thats real smart.

 

Luna: What? I started to but then I got distracted.

 

Natalya: Oh yeah your really a great demon slayer, getting distracted while demon slaying.

 

Luna: Ya heh

 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~10 minutes later~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

Suishoku walks up to Natalya and Luna, in a new outfit.

 

Luna: Huh? You must of won the battle.

 

Suishoku: What was your 1st clue? You didn't actually think I would lose did you?

 

Luna: Well I havn't seen you in action yet. Shut up.

 

*Suishoku's ear twiches and her expression gets serious*

 

Luna: What's the matter?

 

Suishoku: It's coming.

 

Natalya: What's coming?

 

Suishoku: Move!

 

Luna & Natalya: Huh?

 

*Suishoku jumps out of the way, Luna & Natalya do the same*

 

*A Hiraikotsu comes tearing through the trees nearby, to where they were standing, and back to a girl*

 

Natalya: Who the hell is that?!

 

Yamitora: Pretty good demons. I'm surprised the half-demon sensed me before the full-breed. And...*looks at Luna* your a demon slayer! *points at luna*

 

Luna: Yeah I am. And so are you.

 

Yamitora: Why are you hanging around demons?

 

Luna: It's not like they're not evil!

 

Yamitora: Yeah right! I'm a demon slayer I won't let you get away!

 

Luna: But I'm a demon slayer!!!!

 

Yamitora: Says you. You could be a demon in disguise!

 

Luna, Natalya, & Suishoku: What?!

 

*Yamitora throws the Hiraikotsu at them. They dodge.*

 

Yamitora: I won't miss again!

 

Natalya: Thats what you said last time.

 

Luna: That does it I'll take her.

 

Suishoku: Alright.

 

Natalya: If you say so.

 

• Luna runs toward Yamitora*

 

Luna: You might be mislead, but your still a human. So I'll only fight you in hand to hand.

 

Yamitora: How nice of you, if thats what you want to do alright. I'll play your little game.

 

Suishoku: This ought to be entertaining.

 

Natalya: You said it.

 

*They start to fight hand to hand*

 

Suishoku: I gotta say, this is pretty wierd a demon slayer fighting a demon slayer.

 

Natalya: Wierd doesn't begin to describe it.

 

*Yamitora kicks Luna, and she trips*

 

Yamitora: NYAA HAA

 

*She throws the Hiraikotsu at Luna, Luna dodges it*

 

*Yamitora unsheathes her sword and tries to strike Luna, Luna blocks with her sheathed sword*

 

Suishoku: Huh? *looks in a different direction*

 

Natalya: What?

 

Suishoku: Ah crap!

 

*The Hiraikotsu is headed for Yamitora and Luna*

 

*Suishoku runs (a tornado circleing her), pushes Luna out of the way, grabs Yamitora, and jumps out of the way herself*

 

Luna: *blink blink* I had no idea you were that fast!

 

Yamitora: You saved me. Why?

 

Suishoku: Because you were in way of your Hiraikotsu.

 

Yamitora: But I was trying to slay you!

 

Suishoku: Yeah, well...you were mislead, and trying was the key word in your sentence.

 

*Suishoku stands up smiles, and holds out her hand to help Yamitora up*

 

*Yamitora stares at Suishoku*

 

Suishoku: huh, what is it?

 

Yamitora: Oh, um, nothing.

 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sitting under a tree~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 

Luna: So, why were you attacking us anyway? I mean we don't look that saspisous....do we?

 

Suishoku: Un! *face and neck*

 

Natalya: You've got to be kidding.

 

Suishoku: Two demons, a half-demon, and a demon slayer?

 

Luna: Mmn!

 

Yamitora: There is a strong evil aura plagueing a nearby castle and I was looking for the culpret when I spotted you three. Sorry that I assumed it was you and tryed to slay you.

 

Suishoku: It's desavue all over again!

 

Natalya: *chuckles* Luna told me.

 

Luna: Uh-he yeah. I kinda tryed to slay Suishoku when we first meet too. ha *scratching the back of her head.*

 

Yamitora: Ironic. And wierd.

 

Suishoku: Yeah, *stands up* well shall we get going.

 

Natalya: Going where?

 

Luna: To her help Yamitora I'm guessing.

 

Suishoku: Uh-huh.

 

Yamitora: Your going to help me?

 

Natalya: Looks like it.

 

*Natalya, Luna, and Yamitora stand up*

 

Yamitora: But I don't even know you that well, how can you just drop what ever your doing and help me?

 

Luna: Things falling together like this just seem to happen to us.

 

Suishoku: And we don't have leads to Kuma, the demon we're tracking, so maybe this will give us one.

 

Yamitora: Thanks for this.

 

Natalya: Don't worry about it.

 

~~~On the trail toward the castle. Natalya & Suishoku walk aways in front of the others.~~~

 

Yamitora: So this Kuma did all that to you and now your a half-demon?

 

Suishoku: Yup.

 

Yamitora: Wow thats some serious stuff. And Luna also looking for him and you dragged Natalya into it too.

 

Natalya: Yup.

 

Yamitora: Whoa

 

Luna: Uh-huh

 

Natalya: *to Suishoku* With her "Whoa" it looks like we got 2 rookie demon slayers on our hands.

 

Suishoku: Ha ha ha

 

Yamitora: What did ya say up there?

 

Suishoku: Nothing.

 

*Natalya & Suishoku snicker*

 

Luna: What did you guys say?

 

Natalya: Nothing at all ha ha ha.

 

Suishoku: Yup nothin.

 

Luna: Guys! *runs after them, Yamitora does the same*

 

*Natalya & Suishoku Run away from them laughing*

 

Yamitora: Wait guys!!!

 

*Natalya & Suishoku come to a stop at some castle walls*

 

Suishoku: What the...?

 

*Archers appear at the top of the walls and begin to fire at them*

 

Natalya: Ah crap!

 

*Luna & Yamitora come running up*

 

Luna: Don't try to play the- Oh crap!

 

*Yamitora runs to the gate*

 

Yamitora: Stop!!! They're with me!!

 

*The arrows stop and the gate opens*

 

*They go inside*
